Who we are and how to contact us

We are Homevery Global Limited (hereinafter referred to as "Homevery" or "we").

We are committed to collecting, using, and protecting your personal data in a transparent and responsible manner in full compliance with relevant regulations. This notice outlines how we handle your personal information. Please read this privacy policy carefully to understand our data processing practices and your rights regarding data protection. If you wish to contact our Data Protection Officer (DPO), please send an email to Hello@homevery.co.uk.

If you have any questions, concerns, or need to correct inaccurate information regarding your personal data, please feel free to contact us. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your personal data, you have the right to file a complaint with the relevant regulatory authority. In the UK, the regulatory authority is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). You can find ICO's contact information at: https://ico.org.uk/concerns/.

  • Communication Information: This refers to any communication records you send to us (e.g., inquiries about our digital platform or services). We will collect details such as the type of communication, content, subject, sender, recipient, and date.

2. Information we collect automatically

When you visit one of our Digital Properties or use our Services, we may collect some personal information automatically. The types of personal information we may collect automatically include:

  • Device data: This is personal information relating to your visits to a Digital Property and your use of our Services from your computer or other device (e.g., mobile devices), such as your IP address, approximate geographical location (e.g., country / city-level), browser type, internet service provider, resources viewed (e.g., Digital Property pages), operating system, length of visit, and referring website addresses.

3. Information we obtain from third-party sources
In some instances, we may receive personal information about you from third parties, such as business partners, event organizers, and professional networking platforms. Typically, the personal information we obtain from these third-party sources will be identity-related data (similar to what is described under "Information you provide voluntarily").

How might we use your personal data?

We may use our customers' personal information in one or more of the following ways (all of which comply with a ‘lawful basis’ for processing):

1. To manage and provide the samples, products, and services that customers have ordered or inquired about (including through online, email, and telephone communications);

2. To fulfill our contractual obligations for the provision of samples, products, and services with customers, or to prepare for entering into a contract;

3. To assist in managing any offers or promotions that customers participate in or inquire about;

4. To communicate with customers about any products or services they have inquired about;

5. To provide customers with information about other goods or services we offer that are similar to those they have already contracted for or inquired about. Customers can opt out of receiving marketing information or offers at any time by contacting us or by clicking "unsubscribe";

6. To conduct market analysis using anonymized data to improve the goods and services we offer;

7. To generate anonymized statistics related to the use of our website;

8. To notify customers of any changes to terms, conditions, products, or services;

9. For identity and payment verification (in certain cases, to process orders and refunds);

10. To address or respond to customer feedback or complaints;

11. To provide information if required by law or relevant regulatory authorities (such as the ICO or HMRC).

What information do we disclose to third parties?

When necessary, we disclose customers' personal data to third-party service providers such as courier companies, suppliers, and payment processors to fulfill contracts and provide goods and services to our customers.

For instance, we provide customers' delivery addresses and contact details to partnered courier companies to ensure orders are delivered smoothly. However, we only share the minimum personal data required to complete the service, and we have agreements in place with these third parties to ensure the security of customer information. Customers have the right to request copies of the personal data we have disclosed to third parties.

Additionally, in certain cases, we may share personal data with third-party marketing agencies, legal or regulatory bodies (such as the ICO, HMRC, or the police), or with our appointed lawyers, accountants, auditors, and other companies within the same corporate group.

We do not sell customers' personal data to any third parties.

What Are Your Personal Data Rights?

You have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. Additionally, you may ask us to confirm whether we are processing your data, what specific data is being processed, and to ensure that the data is accurate. If there are inaccuracies, you have the right to request corrections.

You also have the right to object to our processing of your data and request its deletion. However, whether we agree to delete the data depends on the circumstances and whether we still need to retain it for its original purpose. Furthermore, you may request that we transfer your data to a third party, provided you have given us the necessary authorization.

To exercise any of your data rights, please contact us at hello@homevery.co.uk. We will review your request and take appropriate action. However, in some instances, we may have legitimate grounds to decline your request, and if that is the case, we will explain the reasons to you. Before processing your request, we may need to verify your identity, which could involve reviewing identification documents.

What Are Our Marketing Activities?

Based on our legitimate business interests, we may retain your contact information (such as name, address, phone number, and email) for an extended period for marketing purposes. This allows us to keep you updated with the latest product information, including newsletters, product updates, and promotional offers (covering curtains, cushions, and other home products that we sell or supply). This approach is referred to as "soft opt-in" marketing. Additionally, we provide all customers who place an order on our website with the option to opt-out of receiving marketing communications at the time of placing their order.

In parallel with the "soft opt-in" marketing, by entering into a contract with us for products or services, you consent to receiving marketing materials about our company's products and services. This data will be shared with third-party marketing agencies, who, under a formal agreement, will process the data on our behalf for specific marketing purposes, such as email campaigns. You have the right to "unsubscribe" from our marketing emails or those sent on our behalf at any time. Each marketing email will include an "unsubscribe" link at the bottom, or you can manually unsubscribe by emailing hello@homevery.co.uk.

What happens if we change the purpose of processing your personal data?

We will only use your personal data for the purposes for which it was originally collected, unless we have a legitimate reason to use it for another purpose that is compatible with the original one. If you would like more information on how the new purpose is compatible with the original, please feel free to contact us.
If we need to use your personal data for a purpose unrelated to the original one, we will notify you in advance and explain the legal basis that allows us to do so.
Please note that in cases where it is required or permitted by law, we may process your personal data without your knowledge or consent, while still adhering to applicable legal requirements.

How do we protect your data security?

We have implemented strict security measures to safeguard your personal data from accidental loss, unauthorized access or use, alteration, or disclosure. Additionally, access to your personal data is restricted to employees, agents, contractors, and other third parties who have a legitimate business need, particularly our suppliers and partnered courier companies. These parties will only process your data based on our instructions and are obligated to maintain confidentiality.

We store our customers' personal data in electronic form on a secure internal system, and occasionally in paper format within the company premises.

We have established procedures to handle any potential data breaches, and we will notify both you and the relevant regulatory authorities if we are legally required to do so.

How long will we keep your data for?

We will retain the personal information we collect for as long as necessary to fulfill its original purpose (e.g., to provide you with digital platforms or services, or to comply with applicable legal requirements).

When your personal information is no longer needed, we will either delete or anonymize it. If, for some reason, it cannot be immediately deleted (e.g., if it is stored in a backup system), we will ensure it is securely stored and isolated from further processing until it can be safely deleted.

Children

Our digital platforms and services are not directed at or advertised to children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly or intentionally collect personal information from individuals under 16.

If you believe we may have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 16, please contact us using the information provided above, and we will take steps to delete that information.

If you have any questions regarding our privacy policy or the information we have about you, or if you wish to exercise your data protection rights, please feel free to contact us: hello@homevery.co.uk
